I think last week was one of the best weeks I've had in London! :) Really! :)
I've finished my intern at IP without any complications or problems but with a smile on my face :)) This is one of the drawbacks of capitalism that everyone wants to earn money and not employ too many people, and I had to leave... Anyway, I feel like I've learned A LOT, gained PLENTY OF experience and... (maybe the most important thing...) changed my attitude towards life, towards other people and myself, too. Sometimes when I look at the mirror I can no longer see the Magda that was there 2-3 months ago... But I'm happy about it ;)) Is it progress? We'll see...
I also had my 4 days of holidays! Even though I stayed in London I felt like a tourist with my Amiga during this time :) We had fun, relaxed, got tired trying to do each day as many things as possible, and saw interesting places :) Even going to an ordinary pub in Shoreditch can be an unforgettable experience ;) Ay ay ay... ;))
My feeling of the end of Summer is stronger now because I start a new job today... And maybe a 2-week intern tomorrow... OMG...
The season changes and my life changes as well...

My throat hurts me today...
It hurt me yesterday, too, while I was watching War of the Worlds (good movie, by the way, although I'm not fond of Tom Cruise...)
And today when I woke up I felt even worse :( Damned... Illness is the last thing I need now... I have to go to Tate tomorrow, finish my intern from Monday to Wednesday, take care of Raquel from Thursday to Monday (sightseeing, parties etc... :)) and (I wish it was true) 'start my new life' soon ;) I'm a busy person now, I just can't get sick, I CAN'T! :)
I drink lemsip and swallow aspirin... Will it work? Hope so...

Magda's experience
5 months in London, 4 jobs, 4 professional interviews, 2 talks about work - not bad, I think ;))
If anyone needs advice before going to an interview, let me know! :)
The 1st one, the most stressful, was at TB. The worst thing was that I arrived 5 minutes late, sweating (it was April, really hot weather & no air-con on the trains...), but, as you can see, being punctual doesn't mean you'll get what you want ;) I remember my stress 'evaporated' when we started talking - my interlocutors turned out to be pleasant women :)
I went for the 2nd one at IP with different approach. After my first unsuccessful intern at Monster's Cave I wasn't so eager to get this position although I wanted to try doing internship one more time. It was rather a nice chat than a serious interview but T asked me some tricky questions about my future etc :)
The next interview wasn't successful. I felt as it it lasted for ages - loads of questions! I applied for a press assistant :) It was a nicely looking office run by 2 women. They looked demanding and so were their questions. My failure :)
The 4th and last one, until now, was today. It started 25 minutes late - this time it wasn't me who was late. When I entered the room and saw 4 people sitting at the table I felt intimidated! Later the conversation went fast and luckily I didn't have any problems answering their questions :) Anyway, I may be satisfied with myself but who know how did they feel about me... I'll know next week...

Art Killer
R & M challenged me today with a pretty hard task: dismantling a huge Marianne's sculpture. It was made of found materials covered in spray or something like that. It would be rather impossible to store it because of the size so M decided to cut it into smaller pieces and keep them in bags.
I don't remember how long did it take me to do that but probably about 5 hours...
I felt as if I were on a battlefield trying to figure it how to deal with my 'opponent' ;))
I've never destroyed an art work before! :))
I planed to go to the gym later but I came back home so tired...
I took a shower but still have some spray dots on my hands...
What a day!

Somewhere I NEED to go!
I've seen to Gardens & Cosmos exhibition in British Museum today.
The paintings were amazing! They're so different from the ones I've seen during my Art History studies... So colorful, so precious, and so calming down at the same time...
I'm eager to go to India now!!
The next exhibition in BM will be about Aztecs. Mexico - another place I HAVE to see!!

Yes, we're monkeys
I've seen a remake of Planet of the Apes yesterday. It wasn't the first and most important version from the 70s but still the plot was incredible (I don't know if they changed anything).
First of all, it wasn't, I would say, a 'typical' American movie with action, love, beautiful women and happy end.
I liked the way the apes' world was presented - so similar to ours! Intrigues, power abuses, devotion, improbable believes and the horrible treatment of animals-humans.
Just look at us - yes we're monkeys :))

Strange dream
WOW, I woke up at 9:30 today ;))
I had a strange dream, about my previous job in Vita...
I was thinking yesterday about it. I'd like to take Raquel there when she comes to visit me in August :)
I didn't work there in my dream, too, but I went just for one day to cover someone's shift. However, the rest of the people were there, even my Sis. We started with having a soup in tiny bowls. I was sitting on K's knees and we were sharing this plate. The main dish was some veggie burgers with potatoes (no, you can't have it there).
Whenever Agave appears in my dreams he's so different than in reality... He's so unpleasant etc. Whatever...
Fon wanted us to prepare a special dance to attract customers. We were standing it 2 rows. Don't know why Agave's feet were covered with mud and smelt badly...
Later boys decided to have fun with chickens... Poor animals - they were bleeding...
A nightmare... I'm glade I woke up :)

Every day can be different even if it's part of my routine
I've been waking up rather early recently, around 6:30am... Even though I still feel sleepy, I just can't stay in bed anymore! As soon as I open my eyes I start thinking about my life... Yeah, it's not the best way to start a day with ;))
The first thing that comes to my mind is: check your e-mail. I'm addicted to entering my gmail account, waiting until the webpage is loaded properly and looking for any 'special' message... My mood depends on how interesting it'll be, of course if I can find any :)
Then I take a shower. Refreshed, I go downstairs to have breakfast.
The rest of my daily routine depends on what day of the week it is.
Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday: I do my intern at Ibid from 10ap to 6pm. I enjoy it very much :) I learn a lot everyday, not only how to use design programs but also how to make wooden boxes and shelves ;) Who know what skills I'll need in my future job? ;) The atmosphere is great so I don't even mind painting, drilling, sawing! :)
Thursday: I sometimes go to an art gallery and spend the rest of the day working on my new website with stories.
Friday: I'm usually at Tate Britain assisting visitors and smiling for 2 hours :) Yes, it can be tiring ;)
[Maybe I'll come back to this post later cause I feel really sleepy now...]

The Courtauld Surprise
Never been to Courtauld Gallery before (I hate this name, don't know how to pronounce it!).
I went there today because I wanted to know something more than just it's location on the map before I'd go there for my Thursday's interview.
How come I didn't even realize what paintings were there?? How is it possible?? Anyway... I was amazed by the art works of impressionists! I think I'm not able to express how I felt having my eyes 10 cm from Seurat's paintings... Unforgettable!

July-cleaning
The number of posts which I label 'my thoughts and emotions' is expending dangerously ;)
I know one day I'll feel more steady in London... but still don't know when this day will come ;))
I need to put in order some parts of my life because I'm not very happy about them...
It takes time, I know... 'Sometimes you just have to wait', I know, but I feel so impatient...
I need to get a job first and then I'll see what to do about love...
L is for the way you look at me...

My restless heart
I couldn't sleep tonight. And I was constantly waking up.
Lots of various thoughts are coming through my mind and lots of various emotions are coming through my heart. It seems restless today, like a bird caught in a cave...
My ideas about my life sometimes scares me cause everything seems new to me now.

Digestion system revolutions
OMG...!!!
I'm feeling so bad now :((
Probably it's because of the food I've had today at Shoreditch Festival. It was some rice, spinach and beans covered with a chili sauce BUT so spicy I felt as if I was on fire! Shit!! Probably this food, although very nice, is the reason why I'm in bad mood now :(

Still haven't found what I'm looking for
Keep on sending CVs, cover letters, application forms... Boring...
Wish I could resolve my job problem quickly because, apart from the fact that I need some money, I have a feeling inside me that tells me to do something about my life... What do I mean? I'm still not quite sure but I believe my heart will tell me what to do when there's the right moment :) Can't wait...

Love Fridays!
I didn't manage to post it yesterday cause I got back home quite late and was way too tired to write anything...
At 6pm I went to the gym to do some yoga :) I must have had it in my eyes cause as soon as I entered the building I was offered a mat without even asking for it ;)
The trainer was a very nice guy but it surprised me he wasn't doing the positions with us, he was just walking and looking...
The first 30 minutes made me so tired!! Gosh! But I liked it so much :)) I woke up my lazy muscles!! They were shaking so much...
I left the gym full of energy to do something else that evening :)
So Kiwi & I went to Angel, had some beers and went to the cinema :)
Beers... well... I had only 2 but I don't know why I felt so drunk... However, Johnny Depp on big screen woke me up ;)) Oh yeah... :) I recommend Public Enemies to everyone!

The sweet smell of oranges...
Whitechapel Gallery will remind me of the intensive orange smell discovered in one of the boxes in Room 5...
Later, when I walked down Brick Lane, the sweet and heavy smell of incense was escaping from restaurants and shops...

Museums' Thursday
Will it be my Thursday's tradition to start my day with visiting Tate Britain? ;) Maybe... Today there was another curators' talk but this time about the Classified exhibition. They talked for about an hour about the display in general and then about each room and artist. I enjoyed it very much. When I first saw the exhibition I didn't pay so much attention to all the details that I've heard today :)
I go to Victoria Gardens next to The Houses of Parliament almost every time I'm at Tate. I like to sit on the grass there :))

Since yesterday I planned to go to the Fashion and Textile Museum so I crossed the river on Westminster Bridge and took the Thames Path.
In front of The Southbank Centre there was a nice artwork made by a Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama Ascention of Polkadots on the Trees (2009).

The way to the Fashion & Textile Museum was a bit tricky because of maintenance works. The shortest way was closed so I had to use the alternative one. I didn't find it very safe... The road under the bridge looked rather scary to me...
Luckily, I managed to get there safe and sound :)
There's now on display Undercover: The Evolution of Underwear. Tempting? ;) That's why I went there and paid £6.50 ;)) And finally I've found a museum where you can take as many photos as you like! :)

Why the most beautiful underwear has to be so expensive?? :(
The museum shop made me crazy - so many wonderful earrings! :) Let me just find a job and then ... ;))

How should I behave??
8:30 - Victoria Line towards Brixton.
Always overcrowded, even though the trains go every 1 minute!!
I got on at Euston. I was stuck between the door and someone's back till Oxford Street, trying to catch something with my right hand. Needless to say, there's no air-con in the underground! What for? ;) Drops of sweat were falling gently down my back... They were tickling me. Later, although it was still very crowded, I managed to move to a more secure place. Was it really secure? Well, at least I could hold the railing, facing the plastic glass that separates the seats from the doors. There was a guy standing behind me...
Now when I think about it, I feel quite scared but maybe I shouldn't take it so seriously...?
He was pressing my body with his from Oxford Circus to Victoria (it's where he got off) . I didn't feel comfortable about that so I tried to move closer towards this glass but he was right behind me all the time... Even when the train was stopping and, according to natural laws of physics, he should move in opposite direction, he was always too close, pushing himself into to my hips...
I've never had such situation before. I just didn't know what to do. Gosh, I took assertiveness and self-defense training for women and why I felt so paralyzed??

'Smile to the world and it'll smile back to you'
Most of the day I was walking along Hackney Road or Bethnal Green Road from one gallery to another.
I like smiling to people :) Sometimes it just comes unconsciously cause I'm thinking about something pleasant and others respond to my good mood smiling to me :) Nice :)
The explosion of my positive energy took place at 6pm after a phone call - I'm going for an interview tomorrow! No matter what the result will be, I'm gonna kick ass!! :)
